Dorothy Starbuck’s oil painting on canvas titled “Sebastian River Scene” 30x36 was selected for a special exhibition celebrating America's 250th Birthday and the State of Florida's unique role in our nation's history, culture, and future. Her work features one of Florida’s great rivers and the conservation of state wildlife. “Sebastian River Scene” is a detailed realistic painting of the river, the palm trees gracing the riverbank, an alligator sunning at the waters edge, and white egrets. The work was chosen for its unique style and exquisite reflection of Florida’s natural resources. The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County in partnership with Bay Arts Alliance and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, is hosting this display inspired by the Florida Department of Transportation's America 250 Florida campaign.

The art show and sale will showcase original local artwork from artists residing in Walton and Bay Counties. The theme is reflecting the spirit of the Free State of Florida and commemorating the Semiquincentennial of the United States. Starbucks painting was chosen as one the paintings that will be displayed at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year, providing a beautiful display to summer travelers. The exhibition is a fundraiser for both art groups and offers tourists a glimpse of some of the Emerald Coasts best paintings. The paintings will be on display from July 1, 2026 to the end of August 2026.
